Respectful of Hawai’i's history and culture, Michael takes from and gives back to his adopted home. His journey to real estate sales is more than a job; it's a culmination of his nearly 20 years in living the Hawaiian dream. This journey has included sales and management positions with some of Hawai’i's most respected hotels and spas. As president of a well-known and esteemed Destination Management Company, Michael helped thousands of people from around the globe experience the true Hawai’i.
 
Michael recently relocated to the Big Island, where he is an owner and steward of a five-acre natural farm called “Ka’awa Loa Plantation”. Ka’awa Loa is located 21 miles south of Kona, at the heart of the Kona Coffee growing belt. The property includes a spacious guest house, Nestled 1,500 feet above sea level, overlooking Kealakekua Bay. The combination of acreage and a bed and breakfast makes Ka’awa Loa the ideal setting for Michael to live his Hawaiian dream. Michael’s “Hike with Mike” blog let’s you follow the day-to-day life of an active outdoorsman and part-time farmer as he starts up this amazing guest house and retreat.

A native of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Michael has a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He made his way to Hawai’i after a year-long, around-the-world trek in 1987.
